Rock manager legend Peter Jenner

Peter Jenner brings five decades of experience in music management, record production and rights licensing to by:Larm 2015. His management company, Blackhill Enterprises, was behind the legendary free concert by The Rolling Stones in London’s Hyde Park in 1969, at the same time as he was managing Pink Floyd. Between the late 60s and the 1980s he worked with such timeless acts as T.Rex, Ian Dury, Roy Harper, The Clash, Baaba Maal and the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy.

In the 1980’s Blackhill broke up and he set up a new company, Sincere Management, whose roster includes Billy Bragg, Eddi Reader and Robyn Hitchcock and is still running today. In more recent years Peter has regularly commented and made public statements about issues such as copyright and digital rights management and has been lobbying the EU parliament to set up a music rights registry, in order to maximize artists’ revenues.

In this special lecture aimed at Oslo music students (but open to all), we’ll have the chance to hear Peter’s unique insider’s perspective on the last half-century of rock and roll and hear his insights into its future.
