Bravely Hey Elbow were named during a game of Scrabble… and it was only sheer good luck that meant they avoided being known as Cod Bongo, Ant Spasm or Jazz Pilot. Actually the last name would have been partially appropriate given the impressive levels of musicianship on show during their art pop set. Looped vocals, brass, synths, rolling drums and shoegaze guitars draw favorable comparisons to British Sea Power, Talk Talk and the Cocteau Twins. Great stuff.
